The story of
The Pinus Strobus, or Kiefer as it is popularly called, is a Weymouth pine originally from North America. We import our Pinus Strobus from Germany. Large areas of forest are leased where the Pinus is cut and where also smart forest management is done. Old diseased trees are replaced and a cut area is given 6 years to recover.
The trees that are cut are about 30 years old. That is why the branches are no thicker than pencils. Kiefer is also cut from young cultivated trees, but the branches of these young trees are too thick to use in bouquets.

From forest to bouquet
After the Pinus Strobus has been supplied from the forest, it is then cut to any desired length by the employees in the plant.
Before the bunches of Pinus Strobus are transported to the Netherlands, they remain in water for a night.
Sustainability
The PEFC certificate indicates that the products come from the wild and have not been treated with pesticides in any way. The quality mark stands for sustainable forest management and guarantees that wood and paper products come from a sustainably managed and preserved forest.
Only companies with the PEFC Chain of Custody certificate may claim the PEFC quality mark on their products and delivery documents. These worldwide companies can easily be found in the public database.
Green Inspiration
The Adomex Kiefer range consists of hand bunches, as well as branches cut to length. The lengths are from 35cm to 90cm.
The longer branches are ideal for lush Christmas bouquets in combination with Amaryllis, for example. The shorter branches are often used in Christmas decorations. For florists the beautiful straight, equal branches are very useful.
